Got this to replace a cap on my 2012 Audi A4 where the tether was broken. Fit perfectly and was easy to install, including the fiddly little tether clip that attaches to the body of the car. Pretty indistinguishable from the original Audi part, and has been working fine since installed.

Although the appearance is different, this cap is listed as being compatible with my 2017 VW GTI. When closing the cap that came with my car, once you reach a certain amount of torque, the cap clicks like a torque wrench, and there is some spring action felt. The purpose of this is to provide a signal to ensure that the cap is closed tightly enough. With this replacement cap, the spring action is present from the start, and there is no click. Unlike another reviewer, I have not had a check engine light come on; the cap fits tightly enough.
The cap feels well made, but with the absence of a proper torque action, I cannot recommend it for use in a 2017 VW GTI.

This was the identical match to my previous gas cap which broke and needed replaced. The seals work great and pass emissions while the attachment cord was slightly more lose than the OEM but not defective. The twist seal is also a bit tighter, which may just need time to wear in. The OEM one was over 8 years old!

Direct replacement and looks the same as the OEM. I got the gas cap to replace the plastic tether to the car for my college student. One downfall with the new cap is the rubber gasket. It is a tad it thicker (might be due to being new),; however, it takes a 6 foot 200 pound man to push the cap hard enough to turn. Because I still had the original cap, I swapped the new gasket with the old one, connected the tether to the car and viola. It works great!

When I bought my Audi q5, the connector piece on my gas cap was already missing. So this was a super nice find! It fits perfectly and now I don’t have to hold the gas cap while I refuel. It was a tight fit getting it into the plastic hole, so just go at it gently. But it was well worth the price.

This was a direct replacement, the cap was pretty close to the original cap (outside the obvious color difference on the inside of the cap – green vs black). I needed to replace my daughters gas cap for her 2015 Jetta, the retaining cable (plastic clip) had broken. The only complaint i have with this cap is it is much snugger than the original, meaning it doesn’t take as much of a turn to get sealed and seems much tighter to remove, this is normally a good thing, but for my daughter to remove it takes a little more effort (depending on how tight it’s put on)
