The cord base fits into the holder inside the Gas cap doo but will come out occasionally. I’m going to put tape around the knob to keep it in place no big deal. Seals the gas intake well so you do not get that “Check Engine light” warning

…but for a whole lot less. I don’t know why in the world I would have spent more money for a Honda cap when this one looks and works exactly the same way.

Be advised; also need the following adapter on end of cable to fit my 2011 CRV: “ApplianPar Fuel Filler Cap Clip for Honda Odyssey Civic CRV Accord Pilot Acura ILX MDX RDX TL”. This part was already on my CRV but I was not aware. My car has a square hole for the cable to anchor; in was not obvious to me that the round end of this cap’s cable fits into the Clip aready on my car or you may need to purchase the Clip form Amazon. You will need to find a way to remove and open the clip if it is still attached to your car.
