While this filter works exactly as advertised, it could have the airflow arrows that show the direction of airflow, so you put the filter in the proper orientation. While this sounds like such a nit-pick thing, it really does save time. Let me explain. My son borrowed our SUV to pick up a few larger items that wouldnt fit in his car. When he turned the a/c on he said he smelled an odd odor and assumed the cabin filter was the culprit. So he removed it, saw it was a bit dirty, and threw it in the trash. He told my wife about it when he returned with the vehicle so we could replace it. It was just about at the 1 year mark when I replace all the cabin filters in our vehicles anyways. So I ordered this brand a week or so prior, as it was saved in my order history, and I had it with my other routine maintenance items I do once per year. My wife decided to install the new filter as she didn’t want to run the A/C without it but she didn’t know the orientation of the filter. She did not pull the old one out to see the proper orientation. The bag thing is the filter fit in both ways, so there was really no way fur her to tell. She explained the situation to me when I got home from work, and using some basic knowledge I knew that the deeper pleats in the filter were there to catch and store debris, just like your intake air filter for your engine. So I ended up getting the filter installed properly as it was in upside down. Had I not known these basic details, as most may not, It would have been installed wrong and not been filtering the air entering the A/C system correctly, possibly allowing debris to pass through and cause dirt to accumalate within the system. A simple arrow on either side would have made this a total non issue, a no need for discussion, a 1 minute ordeal…. you get the picture. I hope the manufacturer is taking notes. I gave it 4 stars because I would have had it installed properly from the get go, but the missing star for the senario we had dealt with. An arrow would have earned this filter 5 stars. It’s the little things sometimes, I’m sure most would agree! While this filter works fine, I’ll probably look at another brand that has the arrow for next year.

So apparently I am not a good car owner because I didn’t even know these were a thing. After my car kept smelling musty google pointed me to this. Wow! It was super easy to install with no tools and one youtube video. The one I removed was very clogged. This fit perfectly. I put it on my calendar to change every year.
