Marcus M –
I owned two fuel jugs that needed new cap seals. The caps themselves were a bit worse for wear as well and I opted to just replace the entire cap.
Well. I learned the hard way that VP jugs use a different cap thread than other jugs. First time I used the jugs with the other caps, I had more fuel on the ground than in the vehicle. It didn’t seat at all.
One mistake and another order later, I got this cap and another on it’s way.
Who knew that having the proper cap would actually seal how it’s supposed to.
This cap threaded on nicely and uses a flat, gasket type seal. My old cap had an o-ring that kept shifting out of place as it had swelled over the years. It feels like it’s made of a pretty dense plastic. Should hold up to a lot of abuse.
Long story short. It fit correctly, doesn’t leak and is pretty inexpensive.

Fits tight and included gasket works well. I needed a new one because I snapped off the old hose when I dropped it and it was nice to just be able to purchase one of these compared to multiple and a new hose etc. These were half of what they would charged at TSC.

Good solid cap. Does not come with straw hose, which I didn’t want since those break easily. I just needed a solid cap and this worked.
