Pretty cool pump. Three major differences between this pump and all the others. It is identical to the very handy pumps we have always bought to pump fuel out of 5-gallon containers. This one has three unique features that we have not seen before. One is that a USB-C cable can power it. Another is that it will run in emergency mode off of two AA batteries. The final difference is that it comes with the adapter to screw onto the big racing fuel style tanks. Otherwise, it is your standard pump that everyone else sells. This is the most advanced one we have gotten, and we like it. Only time will tell if this one lasts longer than the usual 2 years out in the weather on the farm, filling equipment.

Good operations pamphlet included. No batteries included, so make sure you have 4 AA batteries to use this. It does have a USB C port to power the pump, but it isn’t long enough in my opinion. Even if powering from a power bank, it really is a little short. It does work well with the AA batteries. The do not recommend leavoing the batteries in while in storage. This is my second fuel oil pump, and the only reason was the batteries destroyed the battery box after being put away and forgetting about it. My usage is in case I run out of fuel, which does happen, but not every day, thus, battery damage. It has several tops to screw on to different portable tanks. I only used the one that fit my plastic, blue 5 gallon can. It fit tight and there was no leakage. This one is much nicer than my previous pump, as it has a place to put the nozzle after transferring liquids, that clips in place. This pump is essential for transferring diesel in to my tank. The cap is not easily accessible so picking up a 5 gal can full of diesel, about little over 40 pounds, and the finding out the pour spout that comes inside the tank, isn’t long enough. It is a real asset. Highly recommend, especially for off road times.

I regularly use a siphon hose to transfer gas from a can into my car. This pump is SO much better than a siphon hose with a check valve! It’s faster and less work!
When I ordered this, I mistakenly thought the pump had a built-in rechargeable battery. That is NOT the case. The pump needs four AA batteries or power from a 2 amp USB Power adapter (not included) to work.
My initial test with this pump was mediocre; the pump kept shutting off after running for a bit. I was using rechargeable AA batteries, so I switched to using the USB-C power cord instead. That made all the difference; when powered by the USB cable, the shutting off immediately stopped. I then tested with disposable alkaline batteries, and had no shut-off problems. So avoid using rechargeable AA batteries in this pump and you should be fine.
Once I got the power situation worked out, I pumped a few 5 gallon cans of gas into my car. The pump is quiet, almost silent, and will transfer 5 gallons of gas quickly (maybe 2 minutes, although I didn’t actually time it). After using this pump, my siphon hose days are over. This is definitely easier and much faster!

This words well attached to ONE of my 2 gas gans. Unfortunately for me (hence 4 stars), even with 3 included adapters it will not fit the opening of the dark red can pictured. I suspect most folks with a “standard” gas can will have no issues in that regard, but thought it was worth mentioning. Also, it doesn’t stop me from using it with that can. It just becomes more of a “juggling act”. Using the setup in the 1st picture, I pumped 2 1/2 gallons of gasoline into my vintage motorcyle (a lift of about 3 feet) in a little over a minute, with no spills. The fuel shutoff feature works great (with the “frame saddle” of my motorcycle tank, I had to make sure it was not flowing fuel directly onto that, or it shut off early from splash-back). I really like this little pump. We do some off-roading, and 5 gallon cans are a heavy lift, often resulting in unnecessary fuel spills. I will be using this pump for sure. Time will tell how well the plastic lines will hold up to gasoline. I’ve had similar items that crack in just a few years, so we will see….
