I was a bit worried about buying these o-rings based on some of the reviews. But I decided to go for it and give it a try. I had to use a dental pick to get the old o-ring out, and when I did, it came out in fragments. It was dried out and completely disintegrated when I removed it.
I have a 2007 883XL Sportster and the new o-rings looked too small at first, but I figured I should at least try them since I had nothing to loose… I decided to lubricate the o-ring with some silicone lube I use for the o-rings in my swimming pool before installing. I am sure that a professional will tell me that is the wrong lubricant to use, but we are talking about such a small o-ring and a small surface area I figured it is probably ok. The new o-ring was a bit tricky to get into it’s seat, but I was able to use a socket that fit perfectly into the check valve and that pushed the o-ring right into its seat without twisting it. I think this was also simplified because I didn’t try to insert the o-ring dry. – I reconnected the fuel line, put the key in the ignition and flipped the switch to ‘RUN’ which pressurizes the fuel pump/line. Previously this would have _sprayed_ gasoline all over the place, but the new o-ring did the trick. Not a drop of fuel leaking from the check valve. I took the bike around the block a few times, and the assembly remained dry as a bone.
So I have to give the product a good review. It worked as advertised and I really only needed 1 o-ring. So I have a pack of 4 spares to throw on the bench for the future.

Used this on a 2003 HD Fat Boy. I also installed the upper O-ring, valve and spring on the upper female connector on the tank. After installing and connecting hose, everything seemed fine until I turned the ignition switch on. Fuel started to pore out between the two connectors. I removed the hose end connector and noticed the metal part that makes contact with the O-ring was semi rough. I took car polishing compound and carefully polished the metal connector until it was smooth, re-installed and bike is back and running again.

Exactly what I needed to get the bike back on the road. Harley will only sell you the entire assembly which is usually on backorder like all their parts. This little kit allows you to change lower ring pretty easy and had the bike back on the road in about 30 minutes to an hour. Didn’t have to drain the tank to replace either.

worked well enough, took a few hours to finally seat in and stop the leak but it worked

Poor reviewers prior tried putting it in dry… I used a dab od Lucas red and tacky grease a small socket and dental pick easy as it can be just relax and guide it in slowly use the outside diameter of your socket to seat the ring using a circular motion 😅 shes dry as a bone

Make sure you use a little grease. Luckily I ordered the pack of five. Ripped the first one. Cleaned the area and used a little grease on the make end. Take your time and ensure the O ring seats in the cavity.

Bought these and uxcell Nitrile o-rings at the same time due to a previous post I read. That poster was absolutely correct. Fueltool’s are flimsy and virtually impossible to install while check valve is on the bike without their $100 installation tool. Search uxcell Nitrile o-ring 14mm od x 10mm I’d x 2mm thick and you can get a pack of 20 for less then the 5 fueltool gives you and they actually hold their shape better allowing installation with common tools like a 9/32 socket and dental type pick tool to guide it into the check valve voice. I did it, they seal awesome and for no good reason I threw the other (19) in my tourpak.
