I picked up a used 2018 Ford Interceptor. Was missing the cap. Few days after installation an EVAP fault came on. Probably wouldn’t have triggered the fault had I not put this new cap on. Dealer covered the repair thanks to installing the cap within the 30 day warranty. Prime membership paid off again.

This cap is a good cap. Unfortunately, I think my gas opening is stripped out. I still set this cap in there as a deterrent until I get the opening fixed.

My car was giving a reading about gas leaking(dont know who’s idea it was to not have a gas cap). Bought this thing and it fits right in with not even an ounce of hassle, locks and unlocks easily and the code went away about the leak.

I tried with a 2018 ford focus and 2014 ford escape. It does not lock. Even after locking you can easily pull it right off of the gas tank.

I have a 2010 Ford F150 and it works perfectly. The only thing that gets me is when filling up, I forget I have the lock on, so keep your keys handy.

It is a good product if you don’t need the lock. It doesn’t lock the key is useless locked or unlocked it slides in and out with no problem so I don’t see the point of the keys

Well!! when a tank of gas is $150 bucks you should protect it. Even in our driveway, we’ve had gas syphined out of our truck tank. The higher uour trucks the easier it is. Forget about those gas tanks that your not suppose to get a hose down. Use the lock.. it’s your best detergent.
