When the metal end connector from the fuel pump to the fuel filter rusted through, this inline splice provided a much simpler fix. I just bought the new line and cut off the new end and connected it to the old line from which I had cut off the rusted end. Just make sure you measure the outside diameter of your nylon fuel line for the proper fit. For my 2004 jeep grand cherokee it is 5/16″. Otherwise it would have taken hours to drop the gas tank or cut a hole into the spare tire well in order to access the connection to the fuel pump.

This product worked better than I thought it would. I
