Je voulais protéger les phares de ma Model 3 2021 avant qu’ils ne dégradent trop. L’installation est pas trop difficile. Il faut être patient (30 min par phare). J’ai utilisé environ 2 litre d’eau chaude du robinet pour chacune (la petite bouteille fournie est inutile). Faire attention au contour, il faut y aller tranquillement pour étirer le film plat pour faire sur la surface courbe… Mettez beaucoup d’eau chaude.

This TPU front headlight film is quality material that is completely transparent once it’s installed on your Model 3 or Model Y headlights. The kit comes with a film protector for each headlight, a rubber squeegee, a small microfiber cloth, and an empty spray bottle for you to mix your clean water and soap in along with instructions for mixing ratio. These thickness of this film should prevent any rock chipping and potentially any yellowing on these headlights as they age.
The material itself is fairly easy to install, but will take some patience and effort. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that the film could have been cut a little more precisely which would have helped with the install. In the pictures, you can see the finished install to give you an idea on how it looks. For good results, just remember the wetter the better and don’t forget to use some spray on top of the surface of the film to allow your squeegee to glide as you use your squeegee to press out the water under the film and out the edges. Overall, this is a recommended product if you are familiar with working window tint, or if have experience installing vinyl, TPU cell phone shields and the like, but watch some videos or ask for help of a friend with a steady hand if you don’t have experience for the best results.

Why a 4-star rating? Well, first you need to have some soapy water, and then add rubbing alcohol to mix the right consistency into a spray bottle. Why not include a pre-mixed solution (concentrate). I had to shop for those things.
Applying the film was fiddly. Not difficult, but at first it felt like it wasn’t correct (it was). So degree of difficulty out of five, was a two-three. Now if you’ve dealt with film before, I’m sure it’s easy. Once on, looks good and it will certainly do it’s job of protecting the headlights from those dings and nicks from the road. I’d recommend doing it, but set aside about 35-40 minutes to do it and make sure you’ve got the soap, water and rubbing alcohol first! Good luck!

Tesla model y head light does not have a flat surface but the film/cover comes in paper therefore one would need a softer film for easy stretch. I would have given it a try if it was a product that’s under $20 but with it being $35, I don’t dare to “try” and instead, as soon as I realize it doesn’t fit without some modifications, I decide to returning it even before giving it a try =D

The trick is to attach amd squeege the bottom portion to headlight within the borders of headlight. Then stretch the tip to straighten the curves and squeege them in place. Fits perfectly within the borders of the headlight with none sticking out.

better to pay a little more for something better. the shape of this is cut very badly and so requires stretching to get onto the headlight well which then creates other issues because the tack/stickiness on the sticky side is cheap and bad so it doesn’t work well. Also zero instructions other than printing on the water bottle that basically says “put it on the car” and is useless. I don’t leave bad reviews typically but this is zero star. I had to throw away literally didn’t work
