I didn’t use filter. This Fram filters plastic core rattles when shook. I never had a OEM do that. Also Im not 100 percent sure but it looks a tiny bit thinner and shorter than OEM. I decided to continue using OEM.

This oil filter was for my 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor with the 3 litre V6 engine. It looked much closer to the original than the specified Motorcraft/Ford replacement. Nice plastic edging gave me more confidence in the build vs the Motorcraft which had no plastic edging (whereas the original factory oil filter did – knew this from watching You Tube oil change videos). I’ve used Fram filters and never had an issue. Includes all required ‘O’ rings. Recommend.

You can tell that the Ultra Synthetic filter is much higher quality than the standard Extra Guard version. It is much heavier and has seals on the ends. I use Ultra Synthetic filters in all of my vehicles and they work great. Also, this filter is priced well when compared to the K&N filters.
