You will need a t20 screwdriver bit- I would recommend both a short nubby handle and a long handle screwdriver, preferably ratcheting.
In order to make it easier to access the filter panel, I removed the panel under the glove box, the glove box itself and the HVAC elbow. Getting the HVAC outlet on was a bit of a hassle but nothing insurmountable.
You definitely want a flashlight with you, preferably one that can have the angle of the head adjusted.
There’s a little knob at the top that the cover to the filter fits into before you latch it on the bottom by squeezing it on the sides.
To get the new filter in you need to follow the instructions in the box and squeeze it in the middle so it looks like a bow tie before you shove it in.
I had the most success laying belly up with my feet across the driver’s side so I could just look straight up – not quite as beautiful as looking up at the stars, but hey.
You’ll be glad you changed it though, as you see in my picture it was totally full of stuff. You should probably have replaced your engine air filter too, you’ll find that way way easier.

The installation was quick and easy. I was expecting some type of fragrance smell but it’s just regular air filter. I would recommend this product 👍

Ford Fiesta
I’ve installed a few cabin air filters in some of my past vehicles (GMC and BMW) this had to be the worst design to install. I’ve never had to squish my cabin filter to get it out or in a car. I probably put more debris back in the vents trying to get the old filter out because it needed to be squished. I think I messed the new filter up a little getting it in and am not sure it is actually sitting properly in its slot (I did not watch any videos on how to install it).
Watch a YouTube video on how to install the filter, it could save you some or most of the headache.
Don’t forget the change interval is every 20k miles (approx 2 years) for a Fiesta.

Looks like a decent quality filter, but not easily installed in 2012 Ford Fiesta; it practically has to be crumbled up to fit it in the filter slot below the dashboard. Not a flaw in the filter but rather in the design of the Fiesta.

This piece was about a 16th of an inch wider than the OEM one and did not fit the channel/slot as well as I would have liked. That said it got the job done.

Very difficult to install in wife’s 2012Fiesta because the area is so tight and the bolts are hard to get to. You have to kinda squeeze it like an accordion and expand it back when it’s in place. Installation took me quite a bit of time mostly because I had so much trouble getting the filter cover bolts off. Highly recommend a very small ratchet set toaccess bolts

El filtro funciona muy bien, se ajusta sin problema al vehículo y no se ve diferencia contra el original de agencia.
Las instrucciones no son completamente claras, pero Internet y YouTube tienen toda la información, guías y tutoriales que necesita cualquiera para reemplazar este filtro.
