This is a perfectly fine filter for the base model engines. Some complain that it’s the wrong filter for their S or JCW even though Amazons search filter lists it as correct. That happens everywhere — I’ve had plenty of brick and mortar specialty parts stores try and sell me the wrong plugs for my base model because their computer tells them it’s correct. So if you’re buying this for your Mini, it best that you’re armed with the proper knowledge: go out to your car, pop the hood, and check that your Mini uses this style of filter rather than the round style. Make sure you do this if you purchased your Mini used as many owners modded their cars to use the JCW air filter. I know that it seems like a no-brainer, but apparently it’s not.

This does not fit in a 2015 Mini Countryman. The rubber gasket is too narrow and the filter falls into the air in take chamber. Seems well made, its just not compatible, with a 2015 Mini 1.6L engine.

Air filters are so easy to replace. Fram is always a good bet as a manufacturer. Install yourself and save money compared to the dealership. Also you can clean the housing the filter goes into while the technician most likely does not.

This filter fits perfectly in my 2010 Mini Cooper R56 2-door hatchback (non-turbo). Even though, Amazon keeps saying that it won’t fit in my car but that’s incorrect. Please check the picture and make sure the air filter cover has four screws and one screw nut. The whole thing took less than 10min. Good luck!

This was a replacement for a 2010 Mini Cooper Clubman. I am no Fast and Loud employee but I did replace the filter myself. This change does require a special screwdriver and a socket wrench this model of car. Took less than 8 minutes . I smile to know how much I saved away from the greedy dealership nice to you on the day of purchase.
