I was going leave a less-than-stellar review because I had to shoehorn the filter in and could only barely get the cover on. I then saw a reference in another review to a “special corner”. Turns out, the cartridge (and the filter box) is not symmetric, even though on first glance it looks like it is. There are 3 rounded corners and one “square” corner and if you put it in correctly it will fit perfectly. On my car, looking at the engine from the front the square corner is in the lower right and the “smaller folds” should face into the filter box and the “larger folds” should face out into the filter cover. Hope this saves someone some time and frustration.

Don’t pay the dealer or your neighborhood garage to change your air filter. Save $10 they charge for the labor and $5 for profit and delivery (they don’t stock it either) and DIY.
This is the second Fram CA10257 filter I have purchased from Amazon for my Toyota Highlander. It is easy to change out the filter, which should be done every year.
While this looks like a rectangular filter, there is a special corner that fits just so on your vehicle, and if you put it on with the air flow direction wrong, the cover will not shut either. They have “dummy” proofed it.
The price was right and Fram had a $2 (well, $1.50 after postage) rebate too. I can’t find these in the “bricks&sticks” stores and Amazon came through with the free shipping (you now have to order not $25 but $35 of stuff to get it…boo!) and timely delivery.

Works well, pretty close to oem, but not exact. Still fits well
Amazon Customer –
I received the filter in a plain white box with a Fram white label slapped on it. The filter wasn’t sealed in a clear bag, like all air filters come from manufacturer. Quality of filter was junk also. Returning it.

It was shipped timely and fit the vehicle.

This CA 10257 Engine Air Filter fits a Toyota Highlander Hybrid 2006. The CA 9360 Fram filter does not even though both Amazon and Fram say it does. I suspect that the CA 10257 fits many Toyota Highlanders based on other people’s posting on both filter pages.
The key is to note the measurements on the Air Filter on your vechicle and look at the product dimensions on the page of the filter you are thinking of purchasing.
CA 10257 is longer and narrower 14.6 x 2.2 x 6.3 inches
CA 9360 is wider and shorter 8.1 x 2.2 x 13.8 inches
The Fram filter is more robust than the factor filter. The Fram filter is less rounded on the folds making it a little harder to fit into the enclosure but it does fit.

perfect fit – but it only fits in one way so carefully look for the squared corner on the filter and match it in the airbox – takes less than 5 minutes to replace and works perfectly
reviewer –
Very good product at good price. Fairly easy to install- just make sure it seals and is not upside down like the Midas technician put it in.

great price and service as usual. 5 minutes later, car is breathing happily again. I’ve always been a DIY guy when it comes to cars but as i’ve run out of garage space and cars have become more complicated, things like this are one of the few money maintenance savers I can do.
