This pre-cut PPF Film is a great affordable way to protect the headlights in your new Model 3. This kit included perfectly sized pre-cut pieces of TPU film for the front left and right headlights and once applied is perfectly clear. It is a fairly thick piece of rubbery like material that is applied using the supplied squeegee (which I wish were rubber, it’s plastic) using a soap and water solution that you’ll need to mix yourself in the included spray bottle. I used about seven drops of dish soap and filtered water for mine and liberally applied (the wetter the better) the solution on the headlight first and then on the applied side of the film. Align to your liking and then spray the top dry side and then squeegee off and out the water underneath. The results are great and while the picture picks up some reflections in the background, the end result is a perfectly clear bubble free protective layer. Patience is key, so you might check out some online videos (tint is applied similarly) to get an idea of how to get a clean installation for yourself. Excellent product.

Got this for my Tesla M3. with just 2k miles, I already found some paint chips, and one chip on the headlight. Tesla’s built quality was so bad, some chips may be from the factory. This PPF is a must since I don’t want any cracks or fades to the headlights. This PPF is easy to put on and the size is good. I used purified water with few drops of baby shampoo, position and scrap air bubbles out, and then rinse with purified water. Just watch a few YT videos. Quick 5 -10 min work, and the result is great, clear lens and no visible bubbles. (Few invisible ones, I should have scrape more while it was drying, (with soft plastic scraper or hands.) Hope they will disappear when it dries. I removed one star due to the PPF feels a bit thinner than my other one that is also 8.5 mil and NO detail Instructions included. You also do NOT need other tools, other than ones mentioned above.
