I have been using Fluid Film for several years now and several cars and trucks. It is the best modernrust preventer I have tried. The old petroleum products (like RusFree) were better in some situations but Fluid Film works better inside cavities.

Great product, works as advertised. Always a good idea to inspect once a year after application. I also spray the product into a solo cup, and use it with a brush on all the nuts and bolts under the car that I don’t want to spray. You can also use it like a never seize on the shaft on longer suspension bolts that sometimes become welded with rust if you live in an area that treats the roads in the winter. The black color makes it so much easier to tell what you have sprayed already, and helps when doing an inspection. Whatever you apply this to will not rust. if there is a bit of rust on it already, it will stop the rot. Great stuff.

Amazing stuff. I started using last winter on our new to us southern bought Ford Flex and I’m happy to say it weathered the long Michigan winter with zero underbody rust forming.
It is a bit messy and does have distinct aroma. If you’ve ever been around sheep and their wool, that’s the smell. But it’s not a bad chemical type smell.
The cans work fine but if you have access to a compressor and sprayer, definitely go that route. I’m very thorough and coat everything that could possibly rust on our Ford Flex and went through 7 cans. The 1 gallon bulk would be a much better route, that I will go next year.

I’ve applied this every year in the fall since buying my car. Living in Wisconsin the road salt has blasted holes in many of my previous vehicles. So far I am happy with the results (zero sign of rust). My one complaint is the fitment of the extension hose. It always leaks from the can and results in a mess, plus a bunch of wasted fluid film.

Switched from regular to black.
Makes it easier to see the coverage as you work..

All the cans were functional and worked well. I used 5 cans to undercoat a Honda minivan. Money well spent. It is very messy. Maybe if I
Had a lift it’s be less messy. Pretty happy with purchase but be prepared to get filthy.

I did 2 separate orders of the 6 pack, out of the 12 total only 1 can stopped spraying just after half of a can. Still short to fully coat underside of a ’72 GMC C1500. What I liked, you can spray with very little prep, however, you should remove any loose dirt, rust and gunk! The pack came with easy spray tip with hose attached for the hard to reach places. Fluid Film does not harden or dry. Claims to not wash off, but it will rub/ wipe off everytime you touch it. Also, every can came with straw, which is how I applied just about the entire undercoating. Had a few straws that were shredded at the end causing the fluid to constantly drip. Cleanup is pretty easy, washes off with regular soap and water.
