Clamps are not that great. Has a tendency to slip off battery terminals.

I have made several sets of booster cables from welding leads and the parrot type clamps, and where much more expensive to make than these and were not nearly as long. These are good quality product, I like color coding, molded twin, and at a good price, they are just a little stiffer than weld lead wire but my kids vary excited to have in their vehicles, as these were Christmas presents.

The insulation is not very good quality mine is all ready cracking and breaking off its just on the red cable tho

Haven’t needed to use them yet but I hope I don’t have to for a while. They appear very well made and much better than my previous “cheapo” set I bought 12 years ago. I should have bought new ones years ago. These fit very well in the emergency roadside kit I am making.

These are top of the line jumpers. heavy gauge, all copper. very flexible because many copper strands. these are highly regarded and I recommend them. do not use cheapy jumper cables they can short out/burn up… ask me how I know!

Only used once. My vehicle wouldn’t jump the stranded vehicle but a second vehicle did the job. I assume maybe my battery is on it’s way out. But they seem nice & heavy.
Marie Wright –
I bought these cables because my son drives a heavy duty truck and needs heavier cables than we had. They have been very useful and seem to be of good quality.

Clamps are reasonably well crimped to the cable, which is copper-clad aluminum (not solid copper). The clamp grip is secured by a very strong spring. It would have been nicer if the contact area of the clamps had been larger than the edge of the teeths only.
