I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here’s the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a “star rating” equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn’t meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller’s feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

This dye worked beautifully until one couch was placed near a window. The indirect light has greatly faded the color from a rich chocolate brown to a horrible yellowish brown with green tinge and shows application marks as well. So i have one couch still nicely deep brown and the other will have to be stripped again and redone with definitely a different brand of dye. Very disappointed in how this dye couldn’t perform. I applied 3 coats of this brand sealer too. The fading happened in only a few months. Two photos included of 2 identical couches both dyed and sealed with same products at same time. The couch that is a deep brown is still the desired color. It is distant from windows. The horrible looking couch used to look like the other after freshly dyed and sealed, but has now lost most of its color because a window is nearby.

Dyed my brown leather couch black. Worked great…..but found that I had to get a buffer for cars and buff the couch to keep it from bleeding onto clothes. There was a learning curve, but the end result was beautiful. People thought it was a new couch. It was 35 years old (I did re stuff the back cushions)

I used this to refinish an overstuffed leather chair and ottoman. Researched, read all the directions and followed them precisely. I did wash down the furniture to remove any dirt accumulation. I then applied the de-glazer and per instructions immediately applied the dye with a dauber (took a long time to cover everything and get an even layer. I allowed it to sit for some time and then wiped it off per instructions. I then buffed it with clean cloths removing the dye that had not been absorbed. I followed this with an application of the glazing sealer, being sure to apply evenly as directed. The end product are a chair and ottoman that look nearly new. Old rough areas of leather were covered evenly and the roughened areas of the leather shine nicely. The leather is supple and shines beautifully. Although I note some people found the dye came off, my experience is that it was absorbed into the leather nicely. I do think, however, that although dye dried and buffed to nice a glow, that the glaze sealer actually makes the final finish look showroom crisp and keeps the dye from transferring to contact.

Gorgeous Tan color for Veg tan leather. The Dye looks great on leather journals with the traditional saddle tan color. Is a deep Rich color and dye’s evenly. The larger bottle is more cost effective and would recommend purchasing over smaller quantity if you have more larger jobs. Dye does not separate and will last a long time if not used.

Ich benutze es für das Umfärben eines Kiefernholztisches, der schon einmal geölt wurde. Wasserbeizen sind da nicht von Nutzen. Diese Lotion ist hochkonzentriert und färbt so extrem, wie es Wasserbeizen nie können. Hinterher kommen zwei ölhaltige Konservierungen zum Schutz darüber. Sehr gutes Produkt!
