There are not many places to mount a phone in this car unless you are left handed. This mount puts your phone in a blank spot on the dashboard and high enough to not interfere with the stalks on the right side or your view of the dash or road. Pretty ingenious, It is a little flimsy and will vibrate or bounce some. I think a cushion on the bottom part of the dash mount would help that a little or thicker plastic but it has never fallen off. I replaced the phone holder with one I preferred and it fit perfectly.

I really like this cell phone holder. It is specifically designed for an IONIQ 5 and fits perfectly on my console and puts my cell phone in easy reach without obstructing vital information. I highly recommend it.

The fit is loose, despite the pictures. There’s nothing for it to grab onto the bottom of the infotainment screen. I eventually gave up on it, just one more piece of plastic junk that will be forgotten and end up in a landfill

Started using the phone cradle from January 2024 . Already wobbly when you go over bumps and uneven roads …. So disappointed for what I paid for and I did expect a good quality product…. I will want refund or a replacement.

I think for this car, this is the best dash holder you can hope for. If you need a holder, you might consider a vent style holder but that might not be better for different reasons.
Overall, I rarely use this, but not because of the device itself.

Personal Caveat:
As a tall person, my steering wheel placement and line of sight might be differen’t than other people.
Caveats for the car: There aren’t many good spots to use a suction cup mounted holder, especially if you want to avoid the window.
It would either be in a weird place, or be tall enough to stick up over the info display, making it shaky and block the windshield.
It’s engineered well to hold the phone without blocking the display much, however…
The placement of the phone ends up being behind the steering wheel, at least with my perspective.
This is fine since I shouldn’t be looking at the phone while driving, and I prefer the larger tablet display for directions anyway.
Ultimately I just stick my phone down into the lower open cubby after setting up music and/or directions, and leave it there until I’m done with my drive.

Works nice, Took a minute to figure out exactly where it needed to be positioned to get a good snap on the bottom. Wish it was sold without the phone cradle as well. I didn’t need that or the extra attachment spacer. All in all, very nice and cheaper than the other mount that is similar.

I have bought numerous phone holders that hang from the mirror, fasten to vents, or adhere to the dashboard. All have either obstructed my view or wobbled excessively or just broke. At first, I thought this one did not fit securely. I finally bent it so hard that I thought it would break, and it then snapped securely in place. It fits securely on the Ioniq 5 dash under the window to the left of the steering wheel and out of the way.

The white bracket that attaches to the Ioniq 5 dash works pretty well, but the phone holder is very cheap and rattles when not in use. I swapped it out for one of the top reviewed ones on Amazon, it fits perfectly and feels much more solid.
If anyone is wondering, the black “ball” (it’s not quite a sphere) mount that is on the white bracket that attaches to the phone holder is 17mm.
*Amazon initially only sent me the phone cradle, not the bracket or any of the adapter pieces. Not sure what that was about but they replaced it with the full kit.

Without using the extension, the phone ends up blocking the very left edge of the car’s display. Using the extension mount works to get the phone out of the way but it seems a little flimsy. It doesn’t grasp onto the phone securely so it moves around when you need to interact with the phone instead of the CarPlay interface.
