this item was too big for my 1968 Ford. It had my engine size listed but did not fit and you cannot return.

Package arrived ahead of schedule, but once i was ready to, (had removed & cleaned both the valve covers), to install them imagine my surprise to find that there wasn’t even a single gasket waiting for me as the box was completely & totally empty!!!

Tightened valve cover snug so as to not over compress the gasket. Started engine and noticed a leak on the driver’s side cover. Tightened bolt a bit and leak got worst. Removed cover to find gasket had split at the bolt hole. Gasket seemed brittle. Possibly old stock. This gasket is made of nitril rubber and not corprene ( cork/ rubber combination) and is usually a very good gasket material. Ended up getting a corprene gasket locally and had no issues.

I have used Fel-Pro Products many times ,but the 13049R vale cover gaskets did not seal well at all on 428 ,still leaking ,the old cork gasket sealed better ,

As others have stated; these gaskets are too long and do not fit well at ALL. I managed to get them in, but after a short while they are already leaking because they have moved around.
I’ve used the higher priced rubber Fel-Pro gaskets with the steel core, and they are great, but these ones are simply not worth the money… You’d better off with cork gaskets than these.
I’m a big Fel-Pro fan and always use their gaskets, but these are a huge disappointment and a complete waste of my money. I’ll be buying the cork set to replace these.

Does not fit correctly causing it to pinch and bind and push and if you’d like to smell burnt oil then buy this product if not pass on this it’s not worth wasting your money.
