This was used as replacement on a Cummins (onan) 6.5kw generator on a bounder rv. This was a perfect replacement for the original pump. The original fuel line fittings worked as well with this unit. This replacement was done in field as the original went out while traveling… dealer ruined original changing fuel filter and did not check to see if a pump was available… The cost of that fuel pump at the dealer was $700. I did the replacement in about 1/2 – 1 hour, taking my time to make sure I didn’t break anything in the replacement process. All I needed as extra items, was an inline wire connector & crimper and some extra heat shrink tubing. I used the original connector and just cut and spliced the new pump wiring in. It took two tries to start generator as the first try helped to prime the fuel line and the generator started on the second try. It also did well with regular starting for the remainder of the trip. I have to say, if you have an older fuel pump, this is a very inexpensive backup plan to have on your shelf. This unit was shipped not diesel fuel tested, and was allowed to be carried onto my flight (cleared tsa) for flight to Alaska. I purchased two pumps before I left, the other pump wasn’t worth the packing it was sent in, THIS PUMP was worth every penny, just taking it out of the box, sealed the decision this was going on the plane ride for the repair.

I could have enjoyed my vacation if I had just ordered these and had AM ships to a local cabin up in northern Minnesota instead of pounding on the old electric fuel pump trying to get it to fire up and run. No local auto supply shops in northern Minnesota and Bemidji even carried this unit. Sad.

Be aware there is a kerosene oil mix inside. Probably a preservative or test fluid inside

The box was wet with fuel when I open it. Rubber caps were out of the in and out port.
When port were turned down feel dripped out. Took hours to install this pump on a sail boat. Exact replacement . And the pump will not pump fuel. Took pump off boat and placed directly above fuel in a container with no filter installed on the suction side and still not pumping. Most products you by now are inclosed in a plastic bag. Received with pump in the box. Lid not secure with tape. Hope I didn’t receive a used pump that was not working. Returning and wish had a way to be compissted for time lost installing, removing, driving to town to return thru UPS Store. Unhappy !!!!!!!

simple instalment. got one didnt work. bought another works perfectly. Have no clue why the first one didnt supply the nessarry pressure.could not return after using it.
