My Renogy 48V LiFePO4, batteries arrived with 59% charge, each respectively. This charger, charged one of the batteries to 100%, in about 2.5 hours. The other batter charged to 99.97%, in a little over 2 hours. I don’t know how long it would take (time wise), to charge from a 0-10% charged battery. Very impressed with this charger. Very satisfied with this purchase. Great Seller, as well.

The charger arrived as described, well packaged and in good condition. There wasn’t really much to do but plug it in and attach the clips. It has two LED status indicators and a powerful fan (you’ll hear it) to keep it cool. So far so good. The charge rate is just about what is advertised (see photo) and it is doing a fine job of it.
One thing to note, and this is what held me off from giving it 5 stars, is that where single wire separates into two wires, one for each alligator clip, you only get a few inches for each wire, making it impossible to connect to terminals that are further than maybe 10 inches apart. I have a 4S configuration and the main 48v terminals were at either end, so I had to reconfigure them to bring the main terminals close enough together to attach the charger. This was a pain.
Things that would really improve this product are…
– for the alligator clips to be able to move further apart from each other.
– a choice of wire e.g. instead of clips you could have ring connectors.
– a way to mount the charger.
The manual does state not to leave the device unattended, which may explain the non permanent configuration.
Don’t let that detract too much though. It does charge as stated and if you can get the clips to the terminals it’s great for the money.

Did the job and generated about 10amps at 52 volts to properly charge the ExpertPower 48v battery.
The designer made a boo-boo though and specified a fan that is much too big, and very noisy. Measuring the input and output power, and calculating the potential heat generation. it doesn’t seem to require so much heat dissipation.

The alligator clips were secured by shrink tubing, not even soldered or clipped. One pulled out of the shrink tubing, so I tested the other one and it did likewise (see the photo). I tried using it anyway and it didn’t power up. Turned out that the fuse was blown. After I replaced the fuse, the LEDs came on but wouldn’t start charging.

Bought used, the description said in excellent condition however, it came in a skimpy box in a plastic bag. The box was in pieces, with the items scrambled in the bag. It came with no power cord, I bought a cord but the item did not work anyway.
