I purchased this for my 2016 4Runner Limited and boy am I happy! This is a high quality product and it fit like a glove, this really finishes off the look from the back. I couldn’t be happier with this product! Just be careful with the install and use the spacers provided. After inserting the spacers I slid the tip out (toward the rear of the vehicle) until the spacers began to push out and that’s where I tightened it down.. and it protrudes out from the bumper perfectly, in my opinion.

Perfect fit on my 2017 4Runner! One word of advise however. If you download the installation instructions from Toyota Information Systems, the instructions tell you that you need a 12MM wrench or socket to tighten the ring. That’s incorrect, the tightening bolt on the part I received is 15MM. Also, if you’re going to use a socket to tighten, you need a deep socket as the bolt extends too far through the nut to use a standard depth socket.

Bought this chrome exhaust tip for my 2018 4Runner in Feb 2019 and was impressed initially with the look and quality. It was easy to install and looked great…
HOWEVER – this barely lasted a year before beginning to rust (included a photo). I’ve never seen chrome exhaust tips rust after such a short period of time and this speaks to the quality of the chrome finish that is meant to protect against corrosion and rust.
Buyer beware….Consider a different product with better quality.

I almost dropped the package when I picked up the little box thinking it was going to weigh a few ounces! Made of serious high quality metal and plastic wrapped and protected chromed end. All I kept thinking was this was going to help with the weight of the rear of the truck for better traction – side bonus! 😉 A sticker on the outside of the box said that the Instructions were available via Toyota Information Services. I quickly searched Internet “Install exhaust tip PT932-89100” and it found a PDF for a set of instructions for a 2010 and newer 4Runner. I printed them out – Here is the quick synopsis. 1)Simply place the tightening clamp over the new exhaust tip after removing that ends plastic wrapping being sure to place the nut to be tightened at 10 O’clock if you are looking at the tail pipe to make it easier to tighten and so it is up and out of the way with the nut at the bottom. 2) Slide new exhaust tip with clamp over and onto the old exhaust pipe aligning horizontally with the oval opening of the exhaust tip. 3) Then slide the two half moon metal spacers in from the backside of the new exhaust tip between it and the old pipe so they are opposite of each other. 4) Then begin to tighten the nut and then align horizontally at the mid point of tightening the nut so the oval of the exhaust tip is straight across and then tighten further until snug(i.e. very tight – 12mm Box wrench is all that is needed).
Great look! Should have come this way from the factory!

Overall, the product looks great and is an excellent addition to my 2018 4Runner TRD Off-Road. The install does not take long at all once the two spacers are placed between the stock exhaust and the exhaust tip shaft.

It completes the tough look of the car. It’s a shame Toyota doesn’t offer it as basic equipment. Be careful when installing. It can be loose and fall unless you make instalation exactly as the instructions say. Very easy to install, just one bolt.

A quality Toyota OEM part, and easy to install. Put on sideways and twist to normal position, and don’t forget to used the enclosed spacer between the exhaust pipe and new stainless tip, as it will not tighten properly without it. Also put the nut and bolt on the left side of exhaust tip when tightening clamp with a ratchet. A ten minute job!
