These are an excellent choice to replace the nuts for oversize exhaust and aftermarket high-performance intake manifolds on your flat four VW engine. Makes life so much easier

These are a must if you are using big tube headers on your dub

I normally use the flanged 10mm nuts for intake and exhaust nuts. But they rust quick, so I thought I’d give these a try. They torque nicely and so far, a couple hundred miles, are holding well. The brass helps with corrosion too.

Standard sized nuts make it nearly impossible to bolt 1.5″ diameter headers on a vw air cooled engine, these make it a breeze and you can still fit a socket on to tighten them since the wall thickness is thinner. They are also longer than a standard nut to avoid stripping them out due to the material.
