You would think that with today’s modern connected cars, that car chargers would not be needed. But when I am running my phone in navigation mode, full bright display and listening to audio output, my phone slowly discharges when plugged into the cars USB C socket. It doesn’t have the power to handle all of these demands and hold the phone’s state of charge. The Essager 125W Car Charger does all of this, maintain a positive charge rate and is able to charge my wife’s iPad at the same time. It remains slightly warm while doing it.
I like flexibility of the three output ports. I could live without the voltage meter, but that is a personal preference. It comes in an attractive form factor that looks robust. It seems to live up to all of the promises in the promotional material.

This is a fantastic little charger. It charges quickly and it also helped me diagnose a hard start in the morning in my car. My battery was dying so with the engine off, I was able to measure the battery voltage with this.

My wife and I are retired but we spend a lot of time with my daughter and her two children. We end up traveling a lot in our Honda Pilot, as it has 3 rows of seats. The kids love riding way in the back in the 3rd row.
However, in today’s world they travel with a bunch of gadgets like iPads, phones and game consoles. So, they need power. The front connectors are way too far to reach but luckily Honda must have considered this and put a cigarette type power outlet way in the back behind the last seat. I needed this new adapter so that the single outlet could be converted to standard USB-A and the new USB-C outlets.
This adapter fits the bill perfectly. It features two standard USB-A connectors which are the most common and one High speed USB-C connector which provides compatibility for future devices. It also provides fast charging for most of the new phones being produced today.
I also like the simple LED display which tells you the current status of the car’s battery. I’ve heard some cars have constant on power outlets so this could be a good safety feature.
This is a simple device that really suits my purpose. The simple adapter plugs in and I can set up 3 charging cables for the backseat when needed. The grandkids are going to love this. No more dead batteries in the games and consoles. The adapter also considers the future with the USB-C connector and quick charging ability which is becoming more common. Recommended

This broke within 10 days after the 30 day return window ended. This is cheap crap save your money and get a different charger.

Tested this with my 13 inch laptop and it charged it just fine, with the 65 watt port I measured it charging the laptop at 45 watts. I also tested charging my phone and power bank while keeping the laptop plugged in and all three devices saw their expected charge.
I measured this at around 6.5 amps at the 12v side with all three devices which would put the load at around 78 watts. This is still well under the maximum 125 watts of claimed output but I did find the charger getting quite warm so I personally would not use this to charge 2 devices + a laptop at the same time, but on paper it will work.

This car charger is fantastic! I needed to upgrade the plug in charge with one that had more port/charging options that could charge anything from the cell phone, laptop, portable speaker, etc. I’ve always been a little hesitant to charge anything except the cell in the Rav because I don’t want to damage my electronics or battery/fuses. When I saw the Essager 125W USB PD/PPS/QA charger with volt meter I knew I had to give it try. After three round trips to my father’s place and back, I don’t worry any more! This charge has handled everything I’ve needed to charge. Being able to see the voltage gives me peace of mind. I now have 4 different charging ports if I need them. All the devices I’ve plugged in have charge faster than I expected. Using the GPS on my cell doesn’t drain the battery anymore. I’ve used all three ports and really haven’t noticed a difference in charging speeds across my devices. I have a few other charges in the console that work just fine but this one wins hands down. It has become my ‘go to’ charger.
