Why would anyone need 20 foot booster cables? The distance between two batteries when pulling a car bumper to bumper is only 6 to 8 feet, right?
Best case scenario, yes you only need 6 to 8 feet. However we live in the real world. I cannot remember the last time I boosted someone else’s vehicle in a parking lot where I had bumper to bumper access, or even side by side access. The world is not that considerate. I have found myself boosting a vehicle with another vehicle parked in between. I have boosted a vehicle while parallel parked in front of or behind the vehicle I was boosting. These are not far fetched scenarios. This is just how fortune throws every curve ball while you are attempting to help another. Reasonable price for a product that is useful in an unreasonable and common situation.

I ordered these as I was having battery issues during this extra cold winter. They arrived quickly and in great working order. I needed to use them right away on my Subaru Outback, and they got the job done. My car started up after immediately after less than a minute of charging. I also used these on an old Jeep Wrangler that had been parked for an extended amount of time with a dead battery. I left them on for 5-10 minutes and the Jeep started up. The 20 foot length cables are convenient to have. I have used shorter ones and sometimes it can be tricky getting the cars close enough and in the right position to hook up both batteries. That wasn’t an issue with these. The quality is great and the carry case is nice to have to keep them organized in the car. The price was also appealing and I would recommend these.

These are great cables but even though packaged as 4 ga they are only 6 ga. I actually needed some 4 ga. wire and ordered this specifically because it said 4 ga and was cheaper than the equivalent straight wire. When I went to cannibalize the jumpers for the wire, I noticed it was not sized correctly. Package is correct, but the wire was not 4 ga. I cut these, so will keep them… but just a heads up- if you need 4 ga then check before using. 6 ga is still fine for most auto needs, but heaver equipment maybe not. Not sure the length either, seemed like 20 feet but I didn’t measure as I only needed about 8 feet.
They are however, well built and I do like the clamps. Not bad overall- just wished the size of wire was accurate.

These cables are very good ones. They are well made. After having had some cheap quality cables (that didn’t always do the job — provide strong enough a charge) I can certainly tell the difference. Some few reviewers mentioned that the clamps aren’t real tight, but I found them to be plenty tight enough. What I really like about them is the design of the claws on the clamp. They are made in such a way that one can get a good grip on a variety of battery posts (and for the metal object under the hood that the negative clamp for the car being jumped that is supposed connected to). The length of these cables is generous — one doesn’t have to worry about parking the two vehicles terribly close to one another or having to have the sides of the cars on which the batteries are mounted next to one another. The storage bag isn’t some flimsy thing that will fall apart. It will keep the cables compact and easy to store in your trunk. The gloves, I don’t know that I’ll actually use them, but they are of good quality. At the price these cables are offered, they are a very good deal.

Reliable Heavy-Duty Jumper Cables – Hard to Coil for Storage
These EPAuto 4 Gauge 20 Ft cables are very sturdy and performed well when needed. The clamps are strong and the cables feel durable, even in cold weather. The length is generous, making it easy to connect cars without having to reposition vehicles.
The only downside is that the cables are stiff and a bit bulky, which makes coiling them up and storing them neatly a challenge. Still, they’re dependable and definitely worth keeping in the car for emergencies.

The cables are quite heavy duty and work great.

I was debating between buying from the store down the street (large national chain) or ordering via amazon. For the price range of this product on Amazon, the chain store didn’t have anything nearly as good. The stuff at the local store was in many cases MUCH shorter (6-12 feet instead of 20 feet), or had thin cables.
In contrast, this kit is 20 feet long, has thick cables and it well made, and also comes with gloves and a carrying tote (basic, but free) to store everything in.
Great purchase. Even with selecting same-day delivery, it was still cheaper and better than buying from the national chain nearby.
