I believe it’s been about 6 weeks since I installed new coils and new spark plugs. They changed out pretty easily. I would recommendation replacing your spark plugs at the same time. Plugs are easy to get to at this point. I think new coils and new plugs hold up better changed at the same time. good luck

My Thunderbird was throwing all sorts of crazy codes. Everything from throttlebody to airbags! I did some research and decided to try these coils. They were the perfect fix! No more codes/dash lights. Car runs perfect! Thanks

They are about 1/8 inch taller than the Ford ones that came out of my engine. Were recommended a couple years ago on Fordthunderbirdforum.com on a long thread about COP replacement. But connector is mounted higher. They fit fine under my cover but wondering if the 2002 covers were lower. There are more 2002s than any other year and many 2002 owners have complained the aftermarket coils are too tall to let the cover seal properly. Others have no problem. Now the expert on that site is recommending a DG515 G-8. These are not ENA, they are from AD Auto Parts. They are on Amazon and the picture shows the connector is like on the OE parts. Might be a safer choice for clearance reasons for some cars.

It is only fair to say that if it were not for the fitment issue, these ignition coils are a great deal! However because the electrical connector is offset too high above the top of the coil, the cover for the coils that mounts to the top of the valve cover contacts the electrical connector and thus will NOT fit back on.
Please see the video (sorry for the poor production) and the photos for an illustration of the issue. If you are okay running without the cover to the coils then by all means, pick up a set for sure. As for me, I want a proper fitment and everything back on the car. Hence I am returning these for a refund. I will be absolutely sure the next set of coils are identical.
By the way, if you try to force to cover on by putting the screws in anyway and tightening them down, you will risk breaking the top of the electrical connector to the coil and the cover itself. If I had an easy way to modify the connector, I would do it as these coils are GREAT for the price!
Finally upon a more careful inspection of the product, the seller did specify on one of the images to check the size before ordering. Due to circumstances and timing, I was not able to do this but I will note sellers remarks more carefully in the future. Seller is very good and the packaging was excellent! I really hate to return these but they just don’t work for my car.
I hate to give one star only because it is actually for the fact that the coils do not fit 2002 Thunderbird as advertised. The product itself without consideration of fitment I would rate at 5 stars. Amazon should (in my opinion) remove 2002-2005 Thunderbirds from compatibility list or at least have something more like “This MAY fit your 2002 Thunderbird” with explanation such as “Due to manufacturing changes for these model years, the coils may not fit. You should check to make sure the part is identical in form, shape and size prior to ordering”.

I used these to replace the coils in my 2003 Thunderbird. I found the engine was missing on acceleration. So I bought these based on the reviews. The hard part was getting to the point where I could install them. Once that was done, they installed easily. Very consistent product. When I fired the car up it ran like a top. No more misses. Glad I install all eight. Received them in a very timely manner from the vendor.

I had one Coil-on-plug (CoP) go bad so I replace all 8 on my ’03 Thunderbird. This were an exact match and so far work perfectly. I also put in new spark plugs while I was at it. Great value for a good product.

Installed all eight on my 2001 Lincoln LS 3.9 L and so far are working great engine is running very smooth and no misfiring so far. But with that being said the only thing at this point that I did not like is that they are not exact fit. They are just a bit longer which makes the covers not go on the way that they should. It’s only been a month so far from the date of installation so only time we’ll see how good the quality of them are.
