I am adding a new tachometer to an older vehicle. There is NO information on how to use this recommended item with the tachometer.

Take a look at the video, it works well with magnets an Eling tach.

should be more detail on wiring to tach.I am going to try this on a 5.9 cummings for my crank sensor using the balancer for the signal pickup.

Support for this product was awesome. They sent the install instructions (see attached). However, I could never get it to work with the ELING tachometer. I tried sensing vanes on the alternator and adding a magnet to the water pump. I do not have access to a “transmitting gear” on my engine (MerCruiser 4.3L V6). I am going to design a spark plug wire transmitter to see if that works. Product will be returned.

Works great! It didn’t come with instructions or a mate for the connector that is attached. One wire to ground or negative on the battery. The other wire is signal. There appears to be a magnet built into the unit and you need to mount a magnet (supplied by you) on the shaft. Also had to fabricate a mounting bracket. If it included these items I would have given it 5 stars

Installed on my Kubota B6100E with an Eling 3000 rpm tach. The tach idles at 0rpm. Full throttle it pegs the tach at 3000 rpm. No in between rpm, no matter the throttle position. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Installed on our Jinma 354 farm tractor and it works great in place of OEM. Much cheaper and easier to get also.

Works well with the Cummings tack/hour meter

There were no directions with it what so ever. If I normally install them that would ba a problem but I do not install them everyday, possibly just like the majority of people who buy them.
