Fit our 2015 Subaru Outback 2.5 engine. It is made in China, but the fit and finish of the filter seemed good. Not a mechanic, but the filter seemed heavier than the Subaru OEM filters and of good quality. Before purchasing, I emailed the company questioning the bypass rating since Subaru has different requirements and received a reply back stating it did. I ordered this as I was having issues with the delivery time on OEM filters that are a little cheaper. I just installed this yesterday and barring any failures of the product would order this again if I had issues getting the OEM filters.

We have a 2017 Outback and a 2014 Crosstrek and these filters fit BOTH of my Subaru’s. Makes it so much easier than buying two separate filters and having to remember which one is for which car. I have never had one issue with these EcoGard filters and I change my oil every 5000 miles.

This is a nice oil filter. I bought a low mileage 2011 Subaru Impreza and noticed the dealership had used this type of oil filter. What I like most about the filter is that it’s longer than any of the other filters I could find for my car, such as Fram.. The extra length makes it easier to grab in the location its in. Plus, a larger filter makes me feel like there’s more there to “filter” the oil. All the other oil filters for my car, such as the Fram, are so little you would think they would be used on a lawnmower. I will definitely be ordering more of these for future oil changes.
