Living in Quebec with really cold and hotter conditions range. Prior to buy this filter I was using a Wix XP filter formulated for synthetic oil and tried different synthetic oil brands always 5w20 for winter and 5w30 for summer. Oil getting dirty quite quick so I went with Penzzoil synthetic filter same results. I made a test thinking this cheap filter would be the same as other synthetic filter so why paying more for same results? I got this one paired with 5w30 Wal-Mart branded synthetic oil at 19.47$ a 5 litres jug. Oil stayed cleaner for 2000 km’s longer and I changed it at 7500 km only because it was time not because it was bad. The oil was not even brownish still golden colour and smelled the same as new. THIS FILTER IS EXCEPTIONAL and we use it on all our Hyundai cars in the family.

I researched oil filters (kind’ve a hobby), from the filtering material, to the hole diameter, anti-drain back seal, silicon seal on canister, filitering capacity, this filter is a really nice alternative to stock. I’m impressed, I bought a dozen for my 2 Hyundai’s….. I run Mobil 1 0-W30 engine oil…

Legit synthetic filers for less than local shops sell for. I’ve cut them apart and inspected and they are built with quality filter material that doesn’t break down like paper.

Locally the price of oil filters has gone through the roof. I got these on a deal for $5ish. I use synthetic and change my oil about every 6k so these should work fine. These filters have some heft to them.

2007 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.7 ltr engine. After going about 8000 miles everything is fine. Filter looked solid and went on great with a hand tightened hold. Used with Valvoline oil and oil still looks good in the sun. Always check your oil in the sun. I will buy again.

Was buying oil through Amazon and decided to get the filter here also. Would normally have gone with the Fram PH9688, however, it wasn’t available via Amazon this last time I changed the oil. It was only available through third party Amazon sellers and none of those were Prime shipping. They were also all more expensive than what I had previously been paying. This EcoGard was a newer filter and the price was fine. Works just as well for my 2014 Elantra SE as far as I can tell. Would recommend and may buy again
