These fit and work great. They are relatively easy to install and they work like new and raise the back door at a nice pace.

My struts went bad on my 2016 Jeep Patriot and the local parts store wanted more than double the price of this set for two. So I got these by ECCPP, hoping I was not making a mistake. They fit perfectly and were very easy to install. They also work great so far, I have had them on since April and no problems. At this point, I would buy them again.

Working and fit good…

So I got these a couple years ago back when I lived in Alaska. Installation took a little bit but afterwords these preform fantastic. In Alaska these went though a temperature rand of -50F – 80F Winter through summer while proforming flawlessly, and years later are still operating like new. I’ve read other reviews that were negative and sounds like they had and couldn’t figure out it was a defective item which I think is on them. I’ve had no issues these feel strong and aren’t hard to open or close. I’d recommend these for sure. Fit my 2007 Jeep Patriot perfectly.
**Update**
It’s now 3 years later and I’m having no issues with these supports. I moved to central Washington where here can get to 100F or higher during summer. These supports are working as intended and feel strong!

Easy to install with a You Tube video I found. Works great! Literally took 5 minutes!

This product never really functioned properly from day one; the rear gate was VERY stiff upon closing but I thought maybe it would loosen up over time ( as in the grease in fitting would work it’s way through..) Then I just lived with it – until I muscled it closed and caught my middle finger in the bottom- bone fracture, antibiotics, ortho appointment, the whole nine yards. Basically I saved 60 dollars in exchange for a 1500.00 urgent care visit. Just replaced with genuine Mopar parts and it works perfectly/ shuts easy like it should. Lesson learned.

I was surprised to learn that these struts are only held in by some metal clips and requires no tools to remove and install.
These gas struts work better than the OEM struts when the car was new. They are very strong and lifts the trunk door effortlessly. Even if they only last a year or two, I think they are worth it. Its very satisfying to hear that hydraulic swoosh every time I open the trunk door.

These Struts were manufactured in USA and both neither expanded or retracted.
