Hard to tell the quality after a short period. However, they hold up the hood of my car as they should. 4 stars only because they are brand new. If they last longer than a year I’ll be surprised but for $11.00 for the pair, I really can’t complain as the local auto parts store wanted $20 per side and another wanted $60 per side.

I’ve had a couple of older cars with failed hood struts and carried a length of PVC pipe to prop up hood when needed. New struts were really inexpensive but I thought it might be a pain to replace them. Retirement gives plenty of time to explore. Local shop quoted about$200 to replace. Found these for under $20. It literally took a couple of minutes to swap them out with just a standard screwdriver and a nice video to go by. Thanks very much!

Great hood struts. Great price. If you need to replace your hood struts, get these. It holds the hood up and very well and is a must-have if you need these.

Did not come with Instructions, but I pulled up video on YouTube how to install hood struts on Nissan maxima, and was quick and easy to follow. Careful with using a flat head screw driver to adjust clips on the struts, but my finger when flathead slipped off the clip.
