I bought these along with 3-M Perfect-it medium cutting compound. I used the buffer and at first was slinging little fine parts of wool but after it got used a bit it stopped all that and all along was making the boats geloat come out shiny. I then waxed it an it looks great so I decided to do the same on my 22 year old suv painted 3 years ago. Between that same pad an 3-M it didnt look that good after a paint job its super smooth. I washed that pad along with wax towels in the washer and its been washed 3 times now and still great didnt even use the other 2 that came in the bag. So A+ on the pads. They wont stop buffing and velcro still perfect never once came off.
