I had to use some 3M double sided tape to mount it (I think because of my truck). But it hold great and charge at the same time.

This product has a couple of issues.
1. Will not maintain a solid grip of the phone (Samsung Z Fold 5) if you have a protective case with a spine guard. When on a rough road, the phone falls out of the charging cradle.
2. The grip of the ball joint that hold the charging cradle lost the ability to hold the cradle in position with in a two month period. It has to be propped up. The loss of the grip on the ball joint also causes the cradle to spin in either direction.
3. When you turn your vehicle ignition off with my phone in the charging cradle then turn the ignition back on, after a minute or two (now driving) the side grips holding the phone release and the phone drops out of the cradle. The phone now falling, hits buttons, knobs, and the auxiliary steering wheel lever (windshield washer) flipping them on. Not to mention my phone is now on the floor under my feet in the passenger foot well, out of reach.
4. The phone charges so slow or not at all when using navigation.

Item is great,but unable to use due to phone cover being to bulky and doesn’t allow phone to charge properly. Do your research. No cover on phone would be excellent, phone to expensive to leave unprotected.

I was skeptical about the suction cup as my dash has a bit of a texture but it’s holding strong with my zfold 4. The light on the bottom is probably my favorite feature as it lights up what’s underneath with a very faint light which helps if I’m trying to reach for something in the dark. The very close second is the arms will still work a time or 2 if the power is off so you can still pull or place your phone before you turn the car on. I really like this mount but it has one major flaw which may not bother everyone but it really effects me…
My zfold 4 is capable of 15w wireless fast charging but yet this will only pull 9v 1 amp that registers as 10w on my tester… This wireless charging also will not work with my Samsung spen case (after I remove the pen holder obviously) where other reviews say that it will work so I have to remove the back part of the case if I even decide to use the slower wireless charging so I guess it’s possible I have bad charger… So if my phone is really low I need to plug a cable in while it is on the dock so it can fast charge. The arms are so big that this makes my phone need to sit crooked which isn’t a big deal there because the mount is so easy to turn… You also can not reach the power button while the zfold 4 is sitting in the mount which is irritating…

Let’s get into the nuts and bolts.
First things first, the price can be felt in the build quality. Plastic and kind of hard to move around, but once you get it in place, it’s there. Sometimes it will slip down when we are on bumpy roads, but I can’t fault it. That’s just the product of bad streets in my area.
Charging is great, the opening and closing of the automatic gripper is solid.
Only MINOR complaint is that cases make it a bit harder to grab onto, and I imagine if you have a hinge case, it probably won’t work well, but besides that, love it.

Product works great for my phone that opens like a book, the mechanics of the item work great, the only issue I had with it was that the product didn’t attach too well to my console. Had to place it on the side of the console that can be a bit off centered from where I would want it. I do have an older truck, which could be the case, but looking for something that will stay attached closer to the steering wheel on my console.

I tried a couple of other less expensive options, mostly because I honestly didn’t need a car mount that wirelessly charged my phone. It’s just as easy to use a USB-C cable to plug it in. But having tried two other non-charging mounts that either didn’t adhere to the dashboard for more than a day, and one that could not keep its clip grip on a vent, I decided to try the more expensive option. This JOYVEVA (rather an odd name, but there it is), is so far kind of, well, “joyful” in that it works. I tried the vent clip, which does hold very firmly, but in my particular vehicle, allowed the phone to hang a little bit too low, obscuring my center infotainment screen. So I decided to use the dash mounted arm instead, thus raising my phone up higher.
I dry mounted to find the exact placement, then peeled off the protective film on the round black rubber disk that you affix to the dash. They recommend pressing it firmly for a full minute and leaving it to sit for at least an hour before you attach the suction mounted arm. I let it sit overnight and then attached the arm/phone cradle. There are two adjustment locks on the arm… one that ‘pumps’ out the air to create suction, and the other to adjust the angle of the arm to follow the curve of the dash. The cradle is sleek and attractive. The best feature is perhaps that the arms that hold the phone open and close automatically. When you place your phone on the lower lip, the arms contract until they make contact with the phone I can use my Z Fold 5 open, which is nice as it sometimes provides better directions than my car does with its installed navigation. You press a button on the bottom of the cradle to retract the arms and remove your phone. You can still do this right after you turn the car off even though there is no power going to the USB port on the car after the ignition is turned off.
You can use this cradle even if you have a non-foldable phone or want your Fold to be closed. The charging coils will shake hands with most devices, I would think.
