Torte –
The charging leads feel budget, with PVC wire that resembles speaker wire more than a car battery charger. Despite this, it works well and managed to charge up my truck, which had been sitting for a month and was slow to start. However, the cable could be longer, as it ended up hanging mid-air with the extension cord pulling it down. While it functions as an adequate battery maintainer, it doesn’t surpass other brands like Battery Tender or Schumacher. Overall, it’s a decent option if you’re looking for something affordable, but don’t expect top-tier quality.
NB –
I picked this up to keep my mower battery going during the off season. The charger works great, however I either have to run an extension cord to the mower or pull the battery and set it up on a bench. This really isn’t designed for extension cords so I’m assuming it’s primarily a bench charger. Works fine as such but be aware of how short these cables are! Took overnight to bring a 275a mower battery to full charge from dead. Kinda recommended.

I tested this charger right away on 2 different batteries. One was a 12V utility battery that was dead. It brought it up to a full charge overnight without any problem. I also tested it as a maintainer on a large 12V deep cycle marine battery. It has maintained it for well over a week and the battery still shows a steady 12.8 volts. Works great for me!!!

This device is designed to maintain a lead acid battery in a fully charged state over the long term. At 1.25 amp output you wouldn’t want to use this to charge a fully dead battery. I attached the maintainer to an old automotive battery that I had taken out of my car because it was at the end of it’s useful life.
After charging the old battery showed 12.8 volts as it’s voltage level. The charger/maintainer had an output of 14.4 V in the charging state and 13.3 volts in what appears to be the maintenance state.
Simple to use I will use it on my lawn mower battery over the winter.

I decided to try the product to give my honest debt and I have to say it’s a good product it does exactly what it claims and will trickle charge your battery if you are at home or have an inverter in your vehicle that will take a regular plug. The odd thing about this charger is where the plug is located. It’s on the back of the box. Which to me makes it hard to use just about anywhere. It’s meant to be used in a garage I think not in your car. I was only able to use it on an extension cord because of the the plug placement. I mean it’s not usually ideal to have a charger plug into the wall like this. It’s just a poor design. It’s going to work I just wish it were designed better

The DS18 INF-C1.25A Smart Car Battery Charger has been a reliable solution for keeping my car batteries in top shape while in the garage. This is not for in-car charging via the cigarette lighter, it is an external A/C wall plug charger. Its ability to handle both 6V and 12V batteries is incredibly convenient, especially since I have multiple vehicles. I appreciate the portable design, which makes it easy to store and transport. It’s straightforward to use, and I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my battery performance since I started using it. This charger has truly simplified my battery maintenance routine.
Just Me –
I ordered this DS18 INF-C1.25A 1.25A Smart Car Battery Charger after I experienced my car not starting when my husband was deployed. Normally, we have both cars in the driveway, but since he was gone, I was stuck. I called around, and there were places that could help me check my car battery, but all required I bring the car to them, which obviously wasn’t possible. I was lucky, and found a friend who was willing to come give me a jump, but I prefer not to have to rely on other people. I have not used this car battery charger yet, but it gives me piece of mind for the next time my husband has to leave. He inspected both the device and the instructions. This is what he has to say:
This charger is small enough to fit in one’s hand, so you will not strain yourself picking it up. It is perfect for giving your car a quick jump when the battery does not have enough charge. It is much more convenient to have a small battery charger than to ask someone to jump your car for you. We ran into that problem on two different vehicles during the summer so we decided we needed this charger. It is easy to use; you just plug it into a normal outlet. It does appear that unless you have an outlet within 2 feet of your car, you will not be able to attach the clamps to the batteries. You may have to take the battery out or use an extension cord. It has a 6 volt or 12 volt setting so you do have to know what your battery voltage is.

I’ve been looking for a battery maintainer for use with my RV battery to maintain its charge during seasons when we don’t use the RV as often. I like the charger/maintainer’s small size, LED information functions, and smart charge features. I also appreciate that it can be used with a wide range of battery types. Just what I needed to safely keep my battery ready at any time, and to protect it and maximize its life.
