The tray I received did not have the retaining nut welded to the bottom of the tray. The tray fits fine, but the battery cannot be retained. The bolt and retaining wedge were in the box in a separate baggie, but no nut on the tray to attach them to. Either horrible quality control or deceptive product description. Can’t find any way to contact the seller here on Amazon.

Broke the Retaining bolt off in the old one. This was a super easy direct fit swap not sure if anyone cares but the old bolts size was 8mmx 1.25 and 40mm in length worked great in case you need to get one of those as well.

Update: this is worthless if you want to secure your battery. The replacement arrived today and is defective just like the original. The picture I took clearly shows that there is no nut welded to the underside of the battery tray, providing threads for the battery hold down bolt as their false advertisement indicated in their pictures. One star and that’s too much! What a hassle.
Installed before ever noticing that the hole for the battery clamp bolt was just that, a hole that the bolt slides right into. There is supposed to be a nut welded in place on the bottom side of the tray for the bolt to thread into. It even shows it in the product pictures. The replacement arrives tomorrow so I will see how large the scope of false advertisement or factory defect is. I’ll update if it shows up defective as well.

The old battery tray was severely corroded and missing the battery retainer block and bolt so was not keeping the battery from moving around.
Quite frankly surprised the battery never shorted out.
All the factory hardware was severely fuzzed up and the three extruded clip nuts were shot so found replacements for those too.
After cleaning up all the acidic surfaces with a stiff brush along with baking soda and water, this unit fit perfect without any modifications and now properly holds the battery securely in place.
