This tensioner is very close to the factory one. Only differences are the rollers are polyurethane instead of metal, which I think is better because they are very quiet, and the coil spring. The spring doesn’t have as many coils on it, but it seems to have more than enough pressure. After installing everything works correctly and is very quiet. I installed this on a hybrid Malibu and it took about an hour total.
The box did arrive damaged and the bolt and spacer had come out, but they were inside the amazon bag.
Long shipping time. They waited a full week before shipping.

UPDATE SEPT 28 Spring failed. Was installed Aug 5, so less than two months. Tension spring failed while driving and belt popped off. Will be replacing with OEM.

This tensioner assembly broke after 3 weeks of normal use just daily driving to work and back and the bolt completely broke off inside my engine bracket. So now I have to spend 10x more just to get the bolt removed from my engine and get a new tensioner assembly. Complete waste of time and money. DO NOT BUY THIS CHEAP JUNK IT WILL RUIN YOUR CAR.
