Working good, don’t see any grease on back side

For many decades I have always done my own wheel/bearing/seal service. Way back when I would only use Japanese bearings and seals. It seems that as of a number of years ago, my favorite brand is now made in China. That said, I have used a number of bearings and seals made in China without any problems. Our current travel trailer we have pulled over 30,000 miles in the past 26 months…so I know of what I speak!
These seals appear to be identical to the one I had left in my shop. I did a bearing inspection and repack, then installed these new seals. When looking at seals, you always want a double lipped seal and it MUST have the silver spring around the backside of the lips. This helps to keep the seal tension against the hub. These were as I just described. See the attached picture. The silver thing is the spring.
As always, I rub a thin layer of grease on the lips. This prevents potential damage from a dry start.
While I can’t speak to the longevity of these seals, I don’t foresee any problems with them. Very pleased!
