Lee in AK –
For those of you that own a Ford F150 1987-1991, beware of this parking brake cable. Even though it’s listed as the manufacturer’s correct application for the aforementioned make/model years, not only on Amazon’s web site but on other respected auto parts sites, one specific design element prevents its installation on the vehicle. If you closely inspect pictures on the end of the sheathing that inserts into the backing plate of the rear brake drum, you will see that there is an “angled” fixture, which includes both an angled plastic/rubber mounting surface and angled clips that hold the cable in place once inserted into the backing plate. I went to install the cable on my 1990 rig only to find that no such “angled” surface exists to accept the angled element of this Dorman cable. There was no way to properly install the cable. I suggest sticking with a brand that has a “straight-in” attachment on the sheathing and does not include the angled gizmo on that end of the sheathing.

Fit my 1991 F350 crew cab great. I have no complaints about fit and finish.
