Amazon Customer –
The switch worked well. The only problem I had was with the instructions on how to reset the computer. The sequence for turning the key switch on and waiting for the “Theft” light to go off was wrong. It needed to state that the process had to be done 3 times and takes 30 minutes for my 2001 Chevy Cavalier. I found the correct process by way of a google search.

Installed in 2004 Cavi. It fits.
Jessica Badman –
Exactly what I needed
Thundercat –
Definitely cheaper than auto parts stores, and way cheaper than the what the lock smith was gonna charge. The lock smith company wanted $120 just to install it, that didn’t include the part. Plug and play just like the instructions say. I should have changed this key lock cylinder a long time ago.
Grammy –
The perfect replacement part. It was easy enough to install and it works great.
Miguel –
Fácil de instalar y tres pasos a seguir para la programación
Lonny –
Works great , had no issues and was exactly what i expected to get. Do recommend!

Installed quickly and easily, had to try the reset about a dozen times, but it worked.

This was the exact part I needed for my Pontiac Sunfire. Easy to install and meet my expectations. There is a great video produced by the maker on how to do the repair. Interestingly the box came with the parts and directions to redo the lock to match your existing keys so you do not have two keys to operate your car. While the directions appeared straightforward I did not want to mess anything up especially given the numerous warnings of flying springs.
