My ignition switch on my wife’s truck was getting stuck and not turning consistently so after calling the shop to see how much it would cost to replace (!!) I decided to check YouTube and see how difficult it would be to do it myself. The whole job probably took me about 60-90 minutes and the switch is working perfectly. The parts provided allowed me to replace the switch without having to get different keys for the truck, as well. A very nice product!

I’m a master mechanic and I have only done 3 of these lock cylinders for chevy my entire career. Only took me 30 minutes to remove old one and key new one and install. If your ignition switch starts sticking and it’s hard to turn the key to start vehicle and it’s the ignition switch I highly recommend this product. If you repair it before it completely locks up it will save you about 1200 dollars. So less than a hundred and 30 minutes you can repair it yourself. Highly recommended

WOW, this kit is great. My key was very difficult to turn. Sure it eventually turned in the lock cylinder, but it took some giggling. Friends that barrowed my truck always had issues and called me. Now it is like brand new.
I didn’t want to get new keys, and have to change the door cylinder to match the new key. This solves it all. I get a new lock cylinder AND keep my same keys. I watched an internet video, and read the enclosed very-good instructions. The process was very straight forward and worked the first time. Cost was great, and was delivered overnight with Prime. If you are having key-turning issues, buy this now – why wait!

Really like this option to keep the original key for my truck so I don’t need a second key for the doors and tailgate. Wasn’t sure how difficult the assembly would be with all the tumblers but it was really, really simple. I tried to find the instructions online before ordering so I could see what I was getting into and couldn’t find them so I am including a pic for anyone else looking. Took me less than 30min to remove the cylinder, key the tumblers, and reinstall.
