This cooler was a great price and it only needed slight tweaking of the cooler inlet and outlet tubes to fit perfectly. It was much higher quality than the cooler I removed.

My OEM unit was leaking, this was the lower cost option and frankly General Motors overall OEM quality is now questionable to me. So I went with the aftermarket option.
The unit went in without issue.
The only modification that I had to make to my Acadia was the flexible plastic where the tubes went back to the hoses needed trimmed so they did not rub. Not a big deal at all.
Overall, I am happy after a few days of the install and will update my review if anything changes for the worse.

2009 Chevy Traverse. Original started to leak where the tubing bents. Easy Install 2 bolts a couple lines and clamps done. No More leaks. Used Dorman Parts quite a bit in the past so was familiar with the brand. Good Quality Parts usually at a good price. Didn’t see a difference in quality from Original. I’d recommend. Save a buck get this one.

Driveway Installation Process Suggestions:
Place blocks/chucks at the rear wheels.
Loosen lugs to front wheels, jack up the vehicle, and place on jack stands.
Remove front wheels and place them under the vehicle, below the front doors, for saftey-stops
Remove front section of front-wheel fender liners.
Open hood and remove fasteners holding the plastic cover that runs across both headlights.
Remove remaining fasteners above and below the bumper and remove the bumper
Place drain pain below power steering cooler hose clamps, loosen clamps, remove hoses and let ATF drain
Reverse order to reinstall.
Add fluid to power steering reservoir until full.
With wheels off ground, slowly turn lock-to-lock until you no longer hear and see bubbles. This may take up to 15 minutes of turning the steering wheel back and forth and adding fluid little by little until the level remains full.
1) Turn on engine for only 3 seconds then off — check the level
2) Turn on engine for only 3 seconds then off — check the level
3) Turn on engine for only 3 seconds then off — check the level
(repeat until the level remains “full”)
Once the level remains full, start the engine again and let it run for approximately 2 minutes. While running for 2 minutes, slowly turn the steering wheel back and forth.
Check for leaks and then again check the level.
After the vehicle is driven for 15 minutes, check for leaks and the level.

Everything-Aftermarket was the seller
Failed after 6 months with leaking. Had to tow to garage because 2008 Saturn Outlook is too hard to steer without power steering. May just be a defect but I just put another one on order with Prime. Seller I bought from don’t sell this item anymore and also wont return my emails about Warranty. Cost was cheap but not worth it if you have to tow and fix 6 months later. This cooler doesn’t go out very often as it rare fix so I am leaning to bad product design. I will keep you up to date on the warranty. I am out well over $300 just to have another one put in.
