The handle broke the first time I tried opening the hook and the cable was to long. Does not fit my car as it described

First and foremost the people who are complaining that the lever breaks off easy is because there are too aggressive when pulling on it… had this product installed about 2 months ago and it works completely fine… just be gentle when pulling on the lever…. it’s common sense that anything you pull on too hard will break… anyway legit and fair price product , I recommend installed this on an 2002 Honda Civic

Works great, fairly easy replacement. Only problem is the little plastic pull handle, not very sturdy, already broken again (my niece’s car but she recently sold it so I am free of the thing).

Had to change this on my daughter’s car. Not the easiest to fish through to the latch mechanism. But with someone’s help it is a fairly simple job.

I like this item, but there are concerns. I wish it came with a few of the Plastic Guides that secure it to the vehicle, also another issue with this is that it doesn’t work well with the Handle Replacement ends that fix the handle breaking off issue. I bought both at the same time to avert future problems. This Dorman Cable has a very short and -Square- end on the cable after removing the plastic. all the plastic needs to be removed. and the shaft has to have the corners rounded to fit, also being short, it puts this handle right up against the mount to get any cable to pull.
I am going to try and move the mounting bracket and hopefully get a little more area for fingers behind it, or cut out a good chunk of the trim piece.
Anyway, if the Manufacturer sees this, will you consider making the shaft inside the handle a longer, possibly with a round shaft for many handle repair kits out there thanks
