Taking the lower side panel off at the left side drivers compartment was the hardest part. My cable was fine so I only needed to replace the handle. If you can manage that, you should be ok.

My old one just exploded in my hand one day, so I had to buy this. Pro tip, tie a strong string to the old one when you pull the line through the dash into the interior. Then you can tie the string to the new one and pull it back through. I had mine out and the new one in in about 15 minutes.
