Went right into place and allows my to release the Hood Latch with ease. But I do have one issue… the release handle is crooked and it drives my OCD crazy, but it’s possible that is my fault during installation. Other than that I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a replacement Hood Release Cable/Handle.

Almost perfect fit for my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The only problem is the grommet close to the hood latch did not fit snugly into the latch housing. I had to rig something up to keep it from falling out of the latch. Minor problem for me. Otherwise it works well.

Product did not work. I had to go to the junkyard to get a replacement.

A few inches shorter than original cable on my 1996 Jeep GC but I was able to reroute the cable to reach the release catch. Works fine once installed.

Fast delivery & it works as advertised. Nothing much else to say about it.

Cable is a direct replacement for original equipment. Must use original hardware (screws/clips/etc) to secure new cable, but fairly straightforward procedure performed in less than a half-hour. The only issue I’ve had is that the end of the cable-sleeve didn’t fit snugly into the “keyhole” on the vehicle – but easy workaround was to secure it in place with zip-tie.

fit was good. much like others, after about a month, the cable harness came loose from the hood latch housing, and I ended up using a zip tie to hold it in place. thank fully it happened when the grill was off, as I had to reach up inside and pop it out with pliers. follow my advice and secure it with a ziptie when installing, don’t just assume the notch will stay in place.

Perfect replacement for my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo!
