Rick Salmon –
I found out after I installed it. The plug looks like the correct one but the plug on the end of the new sensor is a little too large to plug in. I went to the auto parts store and picked up a new one, it fit perfect.
Please try to plug in all replacement sensors before you replace them in. If you have a component like a bad alternator, starter or sensor you might want to check and clean all ground connections in the engine bay first before you replace the component. I found some grounds that were rusty and not making good connections. There are you tube videos on how to do it.
Amazon Customer –
Parts stores around town wanted way to much for this so amazon next day delivery was more affordable. Fixed my crank no start problem on my 98 XJ. See how long it lasts?
Vincent Dill –
Fixed the problem. Installed like factory

Works great on my 2001 XJ . Can’t beat the price!
Don Trujillo –
Lasted 11 months… worked great for those 11 months. difficult part to replace.

If you’re replacing this you probably know the struggle of Jeep crank no start issues. Well after a few coils and replacing my battery the cps decided to quit as well. I’ve had good experience with dorman over the years and with how much of a pain it is to replace this sensor while the drive train is in the vehicle I wanted something that would last. Been a few months now and all is running well! The sensor looks and fits like oem. If you need a cps, go with this.

My Jeep Cherokee would just randomly die while idling. I replaced the crank sensor and it hasn’t done it since. Seems like a good part.
