I started by buying a no brand three pack that had all three sensors. installed the Cam sensor and my car worked worse than with the broken one. i installed this one after that and now the car starts right up and idles way better. buy this on for a P3040 xterra error

Code reader told me cam sensor bank A I installed the sensor and it started right up,how ever on my lunch break I went to the gas station and the car would not turn over so after 10 minutes of cranking the car finally started up. I’m not sure if the product isn’t very good or I’m just missing something else.

this sensor was easy to install and cleared our nissans camshaft sensor error code. the car went into limp mode when the code came up, we replaced the sensor and its been running good for i think two months now.

Worked for one tank of gas. That’s it. I was delighted right after installing this because it seemed like an easy fix to the intermittent bucking problem on my ’03 coupe. But after one tank of gas things deteriorated quickly. First it was a buck, then all the lights came on (slip, CEL, etc.). I was going to limp home but then whole car shut down and I had to have it towed.
The car is showing the same codes as before when the OEM went bad. My mechanic says to buy the OEM as these Dorman sensors are known to fail. Waste of money, time and stress. Stay away from this one and just buy the OEM. It might be more pricey but worth it.
