Finally found location of sensor on my 2004 Ford F-150. It was in the upper right hand corner. After removing plastic cover over radiators access was easy. Replaced sensor which worked perfectly after that.

Had to pull the grill but it works great! Highly recommend.

I ordered this outside temperature sensor for a 2013 Ford Mustang GT. The old sensor read a constant 50 degrees no matter what the actual outside temperature. An OBD2 diagnostic indicated the old sensor was defective.
Installation was straightforward but somewhat time consuming. The hardest part of the install was gaining access to the sensor. On the Mustang, it is located on the driver’s side behind the lower front grill. I had to get under the front of the car and remove the undercar shield that has about 14 (maybe more) screws holding it on. After that, I unplugged the old sensor from its wiring harness, removed it, and then installed the new sensor.
After installation, it took the new sensor about 24 hours to “calibrate” and display an accurate outside temperature. I have been using the new sensor for about 3 months now. So far so good!
***Update January 2020***: Its been over a year now and this temperature sensor is still working well.

Other than being shaped a little differently than the OEM sensor, the electrical connection and fit is the same. It seems to be working fine.

All good seems to fix everything video shows how the originals have the word Ford on them in the new ones are scratched out must be some kind of legality or they’re just replacing the sensor part using the old Ford housing who knows on things that are 24 years old 2001 Lincoln navigator
Good Ford Motorcraft replacement reads around 22,000 ohms instead of my broke one that’s 10° off that red 34k ohms
Also noticed there’s an extra tab may have to shave it off on the new replacement

It’s cold outside and my 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis EATC Climate Control shows an outside temperature reading +127-degrees. And my heat will not turn on. I only have air conditioning. I ran the EATC self-test and had an 040 error code indicating a shorted Ambient Air Temperature Sensor.
I ordered and installed the Dorman 902-021 Ambient Air Temperature Sensor. Problem solved! It’s now warm inside my 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis with my heater working!
