I initially purchased the replacement plastic guide pieces, however once I reviewed the procedure, I decided replacing the full assembly would be much less hassle so I purchased this and it worked great. It wasn’t worth the time/frustration trying to repair the old one would have incurred.

it was a relief that it fit my vehicle, because it took me a while to get it in. there weren’t any real good instructions so I had to fiddle with it, as it wasn’t that intuitive and I kept putting it in wrong. Finally got it in and saw that it fit great. but you really have to pay attention to how you took out the other one and match it the same way.

Easy to replace, 20min job.

Used it to replace a broken regulator on ’14 Chevy Volt, driver side. Works just like the original. I did noticed that this one has the plastic clips made more rugged. They are thicker than the OEM. I will assume this will make it last longer. On the OEM regulator the plastic clips that hold the glass, had thinner plastic and they broke. Install was easy. Took about 30min. Don’t pay the dealer over $300. This job is very easy on a Volt. Remove 3 screws to remove door cover, then just pop all the clips on the door. Remove the harness and 4 bolts/screws that hold the regulator.

Dorman Front Driver Side Power Window Regulator replacement. My 2015-Volt driver side window started making noises a few days ago, today it stopped working all together. Now my window is all the way down and it would go back up, can’t go anywhere and lock my car. With help from YouTube, I figured out it must be the window regulator. I ordered the part here on Amazon, the only bummer is that it takes 2-weeks for the part to arrive. I have watched many YouTube videos on how to replace the regulator and I think I’m ready for the challenge…BTW I’m 66 years old but handy…we will see how things go… Update: Received part last night, this morning I was able to install with no issues in about a half hour. The hardest part was getting the door panel off, I had to use a small metal pry tool on the bottom of the panel, once I got it started it popped right off. The only other tools needed were a 7mm and a 10mm socket. Hey all, if I can do this repair anyone can. I must say this was much easier than I thought. Watch the videos on YouTube, I don’t think I would have tried this repair without seeing the videos first. You got this!
