Easy to replace, my vehicle is 23 years old and I have replaced all 4 regulators at least once. Vehicle has always been in a warm climate. Plastic in key parts of regulator deteriorates faster in heat. I tried to repair one years ago before replacement parts became available & reasonably priced. Don’t waste your time- get this new part and have a working window

Arrived quickly. My brother installed unit for me and he made it look so easy. My husband and I were going to try and do install, but thanks to my wonderful brother we did have to.
We were told by an auto repair shop that it would cost around $300.00 and they suggested that we get the parts from a junk yard. When I found regulator on amazon. I thought that the price was to good to be true but I am so happy that I made the purchase. The parts were perfect same as original. Replaced left and right rear regulators /w motor. Windows work perfect.

We drove around for probably 2 years before I got a chance to fix the stupid rear windows in the Bonneville. I had the windows taped up. In the summer the tape would sag. In the winter, it was so cold that the adhesive didn’t want to adhere. It’s wonderful to have windows that actually stay up. It’s even better when they also work! 😉

Afte searching numerous automotive sites for a replacement regulator and getting sticker shock, I decided to take a chance and check Amazon. The price was extremely reasonable considering OEM and other aftermarket prices were $200-$300. The part arrived arrived in no time and upon examination, I was pleased with the quality. The motor was somewhat smaller then the original, but it worked without any issues. Fitment was perfect.

So the long and short of it . . .
JUST when I thought the internet had ALL I was in the market for car repairs at “discount prices” (and I work at a car repair facility and know “discount prices”). AMAZON hits it right out of the ballfield!
I know alot of the names on the internet and have added to my favorites, yet AMAZON goes to the top not because they begin with an “A”!! Quality, known product (Dorman) WITH a manufacturer warranty priced beyond my suppliers “cost”, delivered and subsequently installed with no issues/problems!!!!

The picture shows a gold one, like the defective one I removed, but the one that arrived was grey. I don’t know if there’s any solid way to know if I got the real Dorman part, but I’ll assume I did for this review.
The motor is very loud. This is the third regulator I’ve replaced on this 2000 Bonneville, and despite the other two being Dorman also (gold color, purchased from another Internet vendor), those were silent, and this one is very loud.
The first one I got was defective: before I could torque the bolts to the specs in my service manual, one twisted right off. In addition, the motor wouldn’t automatically disengage when it reached the end of the track, but would make disturbing popping sounds as though something was suffering very badly. The second one doesn’t seem to have this problem yet.
My other Dorman regulators came with hardware and plastic rivets for replacing the door panel, but this one came with nothing at all.
I can’t complain too much, though, as this regulator was half the price of regulators found elsewhere on the Internet. I hope it lasts just a few years until we move on to another vehicle. Depending on our financial situation, I would probably have preferred waiting a little longer to fix the window and spending what I did for the others if it meant I would get a silent motor and hardware (as well as more apparent quality).

The rear driver’s side window regulator on my 2002 Bonneville failed after one of the plastic components cracked and broke. I didn’t want to get a used replacement because it would probably be just as old and have just as much wear. Local GM dealer wanted $270 for an new OEM regulator. Quick internet search of aftermarket options led me to this. Fits perfectly in the door. They even included some plastic replacement fasteners for the door panel. Extremely fast shipping. I’d buy one of these again if any of the other regulators fail.

This rear driver side window regulator installs and works great. The hardest part is getting the door interior removed. But if you take your time and pry gently, it comes off with ease. The window regulator bolts on very easily (taking the old one off is easy as well). And placing the glass in place is fast and simple. I’ll install others in the future if need be. This part is easy for the everyday DIYer. Buy it, install it and save yourself some money!
