Our window got really messed up in our 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport. I found out from Safelite that they didn’t provide these parts, but could install a kit if I provided. Great price on the kit, and Safelite installed it easily. Problem fixed!

This was a perfect fit on my 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan. Everything went on perfectly, just like the original part. Only time will tell how long it will last. Either way, I’m satisfied with this item and would reccomend this to anyone.

The price for this window regulator and motor can’t be beat. Other sites charged nearly double the price for the same part. I don’t even know how much Chrysler wanted for the OEM part – I was afraid to ask. I do know that to have this replaced by my local mechanic, the price would have been around $400. Unfortunately this part ships with no directions what-so-ever. But there are some YouTube videos and some other information that can be found on the ‘net if you google about. A good YouTube video was showing how the regulator was on a Chrysler Pacifica. Unfortunately, the Town & Country is not the same but its similar enough. The hardest parts were extracting the old part from the door frame and removing the motor mounting bolts. The removal from the door frame looked like it just wasn’t to be but with enough wrangling about, it finally came out. The old motor was installed using rubber grommets rather than nuts. They just don’t come out easily but since the rubber is old, eventually you can work the bolts out or just force them out. The new part comes with new nuts & bolts so don’t worry about wrecking the old ones. Putting the new part in wasn’t as hard as taking the old one out. But, the regulator bars are tricky. After you transfer the screws from the old to the new you should be able to just slide the news ones in place. At least in my case, that worked for one side, but not the other. There was not enough room to slide it into the hole so i had to remove the screws and put them in after the bars were in place. The only other “hard” part was figuring out how to unlock the window from the regulator. Other videos showed the window glass was bolted into the regulator frame. But not on the Town & Country. Its just snapped into the glides. To get the glass off of the regulator you just push (or pull) the clip and the glass pops off. To install, you just push into the regulator slide. All-in-all this wasn’t an easy job, but it wasn’t all that hard. It took me about 2.5 hours and I’m pretty good working on cars. With directions, it would have been a snap but I was sort of making it up and figuring it out as I went. When it was all back together, the window worked fine. It seems to be a bit slower going up (and makes a bit more noise) than the other window. But so far, its working fine.

Fit my 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan sport. Had to fiddle to get it into the correct position. However, once in it worked a charm.

Needed this bad here in SoCal. Passenger side window stopped working one day. Was able to get it going again by tapping on the motor. That lasted about a month, then stopped working for good. Took the old motor apart and replaced the brushes from an old RC car motor, ground down to fit. Motor worked like new, then cable snapped. So needed a new one. Saw the difference in price of regulator with motor and without was less than $5 just this with the motor. Made replacing a lot easier. Tip: 1)Hold window up with masking tape while installing. 2) Cut the zip tie that holds the cables to the motor, makes installing easier. 3) Run window up and down several times and leave window rolled all the way up before tightening the track bolts. There is very little adjustment play.
So far, it’s been working great. At first rolled up slower than the driver’s side. After some use, it rolls up just as fast as driver’s side window. Very pleased with it. Also the new bolts for the regulator are a far better than the stock rubber covered nuts.

I had never installed this type of window mech. I checked online for a you tube video of the install. and found one that was good. I had it installed in 45 mins. and it was very easy (for me) and not a bad job as some I have done in the past. I was hoping it was not slower like someone had said, it was not, if it is you did something wrong. I recommend that you grease the track with white spray lube, WD 40 the welting the glass slides in form inside the door before you do anything else after installing the unit. You have to be creative in getting it out and back in but it fits ok. You have to cross the bars at the top when doing the install. I also suggest you drill another hole for the cable to be held in place by the supplied clip where it goes on the left of the motor on the inner door. you allow the cable to be “free” and then drill a new hole between the two that are there already. the window works very nice and normal as before!
